Powered by Firework Hobart Hurricane’s women’s team wicket-keeper Emily Smith has been imposed a one-year suspension after revealing the team’s line-up through an Instagram post. Advertisement Image Courtesy: Women CriczoneSmith breached the Cricket Australia’s anti-corruption policy after recording a video that included the details of the Hurricane’s line-up for their clash against Sydney Thunder.The Article 2.3.2 of the Cricket Australia guidelines clearly disallow the “Disclosing Inside Information to any person (with or without Reward) where the Participant knew or might reasonably have known that such disclosure might lead to the information being used in relation to Betting in relation to any Match or Event.”Advertisement Cricket Australia’s head of Integrity and Security Sean Carroll commented on the situation. He claimed that although the intention was not deliberate, the players should be well aware of the Anti-Corruption Code.
