Fetal heartbeats begin at 21 days after conception and are usually heard by parents when their child is six or eight weeks along.The Heartbeat Protection Act makes no exception for babies conceived in rape or incest.The Committee’s legislators were shown an ultrasound video taken hours before the hearing. Wellington baseball, softball teams get regional assignments

first_imgby Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The Wellington girls softball and boys baseball teams received their regional pairings for next week.The Class 4A softball bracket can be found here: regsbbracketThe Class 4A baseball bracket can be found here: 4A El Dorado Baseball RegionalThe Wellington girls softball team (9-7) will be the fourth seed and will play Rose Hill (8-10), a fifth seed in Clearwater at 5:45 p.m. If the Crusaders survive on Monday it will play at Independence against the winner of Clearwater (15-3) and Coffeyville-Field Kindley (0-14) at 3 p.m. The other set of first round games will be #2 Independence (12-3) vs. #7 Winfield (2-14) and Mulvane (11-5) vs. Almamont Labette County.In the boys regional, Wellington (3-13) will be the eighth seed and will play top seed Mulvane (14-4) on Monday at 1 p.m. in El Dorado. If Wellington wins it will play the winner of Towanda-Circle (11-7) vs. Winfield (6-12).Other first round games include: #2 Clearwater (13-5) vs. #7 El Dorado (5-15) and #3 Augusta (12-6) vs. #6 Rose Hill (5-13). GAELIC GAMES: ST EUNAN’S GAA CLUB NEWS

first_imgWe will hold only 3 Registration Sessions this year, Saturday’s Feb. 16th & 23rd between 11am and 2pm and on Wednesday evening, Feb. 20th between 6pm and 8pm. Full details were sent in a club e-mail yesterday.There will be a Minor Board Meeting next Thursday, Feb. 14th in the Clubhouse at 6:30pm. All managers are required to attend, see details in Notes below.Last Person Standing is up and running, so if you are in don’t forget to send your pick to Paul McGovern by 2pm this Friday (Feb. 8th). The Big Fight Night, Lord of the Rings 4 has launched and will take place on Friday, March 15th in the Mt. Errigal Hotel. Tickets are now available for a night not to be missed as St. Eunan’s pit their boxing skills against the Rugby club.The dates for the two semi finals and county final of Scór Sinsir were decided at a recent meeting of coiste scór Dhún na nGall. The first semi final will take place in Gleann Fhinne on Friday 15th February at 7.30pm and the second semi final will be held in Burt on Saturday 16th February at 7.30pm. The county final of Scór Sinsir will be held in Gleann tSúilí on Friday 22nd February. Anyone interested in taking part on behalf of the club are asked to contact Ofifigeach Chultúrtha & Teanga, Fergus McGee on 086 854 4445.There will be a Minor Board meeting next Thursday, February 14th at 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. All team managers are asked to attend to arrange handover of gear and also to have a list of anything needed for 2013.This year’s Senior Board Dinner Dance will take place in the Mt. Errigal Hotel on Friday, March 8th. Tickets will be on sale shortly. The U6/U8 hurling and camogie has started again in the LYIT Friday’s at 6:30pm to 7:45pm. The U10 hurlers are in the Aura Wed at 7pm to 8pm. The U10/U12 camogie training has resumed again in the convent gym Wednesdays 7pm to 8pm. The U12 hurlers have resumed in the Aura at 7pm to 8pm Thursday’s. All new players welcome. Cost €3 per session.U12 Girls football is also up and running again between 6pm and 7pm in the Convent Gym. New members welcome.Training for the U14 girl’s football team for 2013 has started in the Game On indoor Astro Turf Centre at Lisnennan (Old Unifi Plant) on Wednesday’s at 6pm sharp (please arrive 10 mins early). This is open to all girls born in 1999 & 2000. The indoor sessions will run for 7 weeks until the end of Feb and each session will cost €3 per person.Managers are asked to contact Paul McGovern asap to book their slots on the training pitch for 2013, with slots filling up fast. The Minor Board will be holding a meeting in the next two weeks to arrange hand over of gear and to get a list of new equipment needed for new season, all team managers are asked to attend. Details in a few days.Best wishes to Eileen Gallagher, Ard O’Donnell for a speedy recovery, hopefully she will be back home shortly and attending matches again in the not too distant future.
