HMD slashes prices of Nokia 6.1, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 8 Sirocco in India

first_imgHMD Global has refreshed the prices of some of its early 2018 smartphones following the launch of newer devices like the Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus. The Nokia 6.1, Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 see prices slashed by up to Rs 1,500. The Nokia 8 Sirocco, on the other hand, sees a massive price drop of Rs 13,000 in the country. The new prices for these Android One devices can be seen on the Nokia Mobile Store.The Nokia 6.1 was originally launched in India in April at Rs 16,999 for the 3GB variant, while a second 4GB variant was launched soon after at Rs 18,999. In August, both the variants saw a price drop by around Rs 1,500. The device gets yet another price cut now and can be availed at Rs 13,499 and Rs 16,499, respectively. This makes the device even more attractive when coupled with the fact that it is confirmed to get Android 9 Pie later this month.The Nokia 6.1 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor and gets Zeiss-branded optics with a 16-megapixel rear camera and f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Nokia 6.1The Nokia 5.1 was launched at Rs 12,499 in the country, but now sees a Rs 1,500 price cut. The device is now available at Rs 10,999, which is similar to the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The Nokia 5.1 brings a 5.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a an octa-core MediaTek MT6755S SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device is also offered with 32GB of internal storage and ships with Android Oreo.advertisementThe Nokia 3.1 2GB variant first came to India in July for Rs 10,499. This variant sees no change in its price. However, the 4GB variant that was launched later on at Rs 11,999 now sees a price drop by Rs 1,000. The model can now be purchased for Rs 10,999.Lastly, we have the Nokia 8 Sirocco, which is HMD’s most premium offering right now. The phone was launched earlier this year at Rs 49,999, but HMD has now dropped its price significantly by Rs 13,000. The Nokia 8 Sirocco can now be purchased for Rs 36,999. The major price cut may be due to the fact that the device runs a now dated Snapdragon 835 chipset.
