The same heritage that we invite visitors from abroad to experience must be so familiar to us that we become tour guides for our own children, our families and for our people,” Ms. Grange said.In the meantime, she informed that work has commenced towards securing Port Royal’s inclusion on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) list of World Heritage sites.Minister Grange commended the organisers of the Health, Home and Garden Expo for staging an event that highlights the country’s culture while promoting the importance of wellness.“Your concern with lifestyle matters that impact all areas of life and that have a strong focus on arts, culture, and heritage is recognised as being of fundamental value to us as a people. It makes you one of those solid Jamaican institutions… devoted to promoting what is good for Jamaica as a country, what is good about Jamaica and what is good for the lives of its citizens,” she said.Event Coordinator, Fay Wint, encouraged Jamaicans to come out for a fun-filled experience. She noted that there will be live entertainment, artist and children villages, give-a-ways, beautiful exhibits, talks and demonstrations. The Health, Home and Garden Expo 2017 runs from Friday (October 27) to Sunday (October 29) at the National Arena. Maybe there is another shot at the NFL out there for Terrell Owens, the six-time Pro Bowl receiver whose knee injury and disruptive behavior has kept him out of the league the last two years. Reports are flying that the Seattle Seahawks are looking to bring in the troubled Owens for a tryout. The Seahawks are desperate for receiver help, with only Sidney Rice and Doug Baldwin are reliable options at the position. However, Owens tweeted Sunday night that the rumors he would visit Seattle are “not true.”Why Owens would deny reports is a mystery, especially since the Seahawks confirmed a report from KJR-AM in Seattle late Sunday night that Owens would be working out for the Seahawks on Monday. The team is off Monday before returning to practice Tuesday.Owens needs an opportunity in the worst way. He is 38 years old. He has publicly admitted that he has squandered his career earnings made while playing in the NFL.And just two weeks ago, an Atlanta judge threatened him with jail time if he does not make good on back child support.Owens has not played in the NFL since the 2010 season with the Cincinnati Bengals, when he caught 72 passes for 983 yards and nine touchdowns. Things quickly fell apart for Owens during that offseason. He could not find a team to offer him a contract to play even a portion of the 2011 season. He did have 35 catches for 420 yards and 10 touchdowns while playing eight of 11 games for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League. He was cut and lost an ownership stake in the team in May.Owens clearly still wants to play, though some of that could be financially related with his vast having money problems. But his antics and mouth have prevented teams from even granting him a tryout, which really means, “He isn’t worth the trouble.”
West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski believes their new-found form is due to Manuel Pellegrini’s ability to change the squad’s mentalityAfter losing his four Premier League games, Pellegrin has since led West Ham to seven wins in their last 13 attempts. The good run of form has moved the Hammers up to ninth-place in the standings and Fabianski reckons Pellegrini’s footballing philosophy has now been embraced by the entire team.“We were a group that needed a bit of time to find the balance within the team, to find the right way and what suits us when it comes to playing – the shape, the tactics – and what suits the manager best when it comes to picking a team to perform,” Fabianski told the club website.Jose Mourinho is sold on Lampard succeeding at Chelsea Tomás Pavel Ibarra Meda – September 14, 2019 Jose Mourinho wanted to give his two cents on Frank Lampard’s odds as the new Chelsea FC manager, he thinks he will succeed. There really…“Since the first four games we lost, after that, I think we’ve been in pretty good form during this period and I think the manager knows more about us as a group and what to expect from every single player, and what suits him best to get the best out of the team.“It was tactics and the mentality of the group [that have developed] as well. We understood more what his demands are, especially on the mental side of the game, his approach and how he wants his team to behave on the pitch in different circumstances. We understood his ideas of being a team a lot better.”Pellegrini’s side will next host Watford at the London Stadium this Saturday, where they hope to extend their winning run to five matches.
Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren believes manager Jurgen Klopp has found the right ingredients to sustain a title challenge which was previously missing from the squadThe Reds have finished the first half of the season unbeaten with 16 wins and 12 clean sheets thanks to the rejuvenated defence (Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson)Others who have made a difference are Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho – the latter two both scorers against Newcastle.Asked what the difference was from previous years, Lovren told the Scotsman: “I think experience. There are quite a lot of players still here and it was like a puzzle, you just keep bringing these players you missed and now I think it’s a perfect match.Virgil van Dijk praises Roberto Firmino after Liverpool’s win Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Virgil van Dijk hailed team-mate Roberto Firmino after coming off the bench to inspire Liverpool to a 3-1 comeback win against Newcastle United.“There has always been something missing all these years but I think now we have everything.“But it doesn’t mean anything. Even Manchester City has in every position two players, top players.”The Croatian said; “The foundation isn’t about five players at the back. It’s about Mo, Bobby, Sadio, Shaq, everyone up front, they are the first defenders. We know when we don’t concede a goal, we score. That’s the key for us and we need to always stay hungry. When we lose the ball, get it back quickly.”“There’s no pressure, to be honest. In the previous years, yes, but now when you look in the dressing room, when you go into Melwood in the morning, everybody is happy,” he added. “Nobody talks about anything else than the next game. We can’t talk about something that will happen in five-six months, we go game by game and we will see where we finish.”
